Deanna Kempke is a psychotherapist who specializes in the treatment of adolescents and adult women. She integrates research-based mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused concepts in her therapy practice. Her Ann Arbor office is downtown, conveniently located across the street from the Fourth Street parking garage and the lovely Literati bookstore.

She has a broad range of clinical experience working with adolescents and adults, many of whom have endured years of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Before starting her practice, Deanna worked at Miami-Dade Juvenile Detention Center, Washtenaw County Community Mental Health, Ann Arbor Shelter for the Homeless, University of Michigan Psychiatric Emergency Services and most recently in the psychology offices of Sullivan, Nolan and Associates.

Deanna Kempke is a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor.  She holds degrees in Psychology and Mental Health Counseling.  Her internships include New Horizons Shelter and Women’s Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the Institute for Family Therapy in Miami, and PORT Treatment Services for homeless, mentally ill individuals in Ann Arbor.  She also has been trained in the function of counseling supervision for Limited Licensed Professional Counselors. 

Ms. Kempke participates with Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Her rates range from $135 to $160 and she all major credit cards.  She likes to cook, run, listen to jazz, read on the beach, snorkel and watch birds.
